Ho Hum Beach
The Village has executed a restoration plan for various items at Ho Hum beach damaged by storm Sandy. This includes improved power/solar panels, repairs to the handicap boardwalk, a restored handicap shelter at the end of the boardwalk on the ocean, bulkheads, etc.
The Village anticipates a large portion of these expenses will be reimbursed by FEMA as a result of the damage caused by storm Sandy.
After those initiatives are finished, the BVPF plans to work with the Village to install new furnishings and other items at Ho Hum Beach.
The Village is now investigating major repairs and improvements to the bayside snack bar and dock area at Ho Hum.
In conjunction with the Village, the BVPF is investigating funding the purchase and installation of over 20 new lockers, beach umbrellas at the waiting area at the Marina Ferry dock, little red wagons at the beach for use by all.
The details are still being discussed with the Village and, if approved, we will be looking forward to an exciting re-opening of Ho Hum in 2016.
The

Osborn Park Landscaping and Benches
The Village is in the process of finalizing bids for rebuilding the Gazebo and adding a boardwalk along the Park Dock, as well as installing 100% sprinkler coverage for the Park.
In conjunction with that, the BVPF has proposed that it assume responsibility for the execution of the landscaping plan at Osborn Park.
The details are still being discussed with the Village and if approved we will be looking forward to an exciting re-opening of Osborn Park in the Spring of 2016 with new landscaping, a Gazebo, and new park benches and picnic tables.
