Bellport Village Program Fund Party

About the Bellport Village Program Fund

This organization is governed through a Board of Directors who volunteer their time and energy for the success of our projects.

The Bellport Village Program Fund received 501(C)3 status in 2010 and began operations in 2011.

The Bellport Village Program Fund ("BVPF") executes its projects with monies raised through private donations and grants.

This organization is a Village budget multiplier. It works together with the Village to identify projects where additional funds are needed to supplement Village resources.

Because BVPF is a private not-for-profit 501(C)3 organization, it must remain by law 100% independent from the governance of the Village.

Since many of the projects involve Village property, the cooperation and approvals from the Village Board will be needed prior to execution of a project. The Village Board has been very cooperative and is supportive of this effort.

The mission of this private not for profit organization is to:

  • Execute BVPF projects within the Village of Bellport that will provide knowledge and skills to youth in assessing and addressing community priorities.

  • Assist in providing more cultural awareness to the public.

  • Increase awareness of health services to youths, families and seniors.

  • Support educational programs focused on civics.

  • Encourage community engagement of youth.

Our mission and related projects are executed for the benefit of the residents of the Village of Bellport.

Donations

Contributions to the BVPF are tax deductible and 100% of every donation will go directly to the projects.

All the administrative costs of operating this organization are born by the Board of Directors.

Donations can be made to the BVPF for projects listed herein and future projects.
